Hey hey! Mates, it's been a while, so we decided to show you guys some exclusive footage aka photos that have not been shown before!
If you are hungry don't scroll down..
Fringe Festival
The Fringe festival took place in early february and lasted for a month. It's a wild time that fills the city with arts, music and good food. Surprisingly enough we were working day and night during the festival season and were bearly even able to go to see the fringe park!
Fringe brings light into the summer nights! It's a huge carnival with loads to offer! The Fringe city is filled with small pop up bars and food stands.
We came to ckeck out the Fringe city after long day at work, that's why Kino isn't looking too happy. So… somebody had to look awesome!
Melt
Melt is definitely one of the best tapas places in the whole Adelaide! The restaurant is better known as a pizza bar, but we fell in love with the amazing tapas menu that they had to offer. The list is changing daily and they have these cool "blackboards" as the tapas menu!
We decided to order a little of this and that!
Roasted salmon belly w asian salad
Roasted pork and shitake mushroom hot pot
Garlic and chilli chicken wings w kimchi
Pan fried halloumi w pickled red onions
And here's Suski enjoying her lunch!
From Orient
From Orient is an award winning modern Chinese restaurant in the city. We had walked past it many times and finally we made a reservation!
Suski isn't looking too happy yet since she was feeling quite hungry.
Here we have pork wontons. On the left hand side we have poached pork wontons with mild spicy broth and on the right two crispy ones.
Crispy quail, served with chinese style pickled salad
Scallops with preserved chilli and scallops with black bean
Lobster, with house-made XO sauce
Slow cooked duck with sichuan style preserved vegetable
The dessert was so terrible that its not worth showing instead here is a baby's sock
Saltram wine tasting @ Stag hotel
Kino's coworker Amy invited us to go with them to the Saltram wine tasting. She was telling us how great it was and how everybody was gonna be there. Great atmosphere, excellent wine, delicious food and wonderful people. What she didnt know was, she had Kino already at wine tasting.
Duck and pistachio terrine w citrus and wild rocket salad
"Omnomnom.." Says Mr Kino
And here's our wonderful Amy explaining something that's obviously very very important!
Seared scallops w cauliflower puree, smoked pancetta and parmesan crumble
Chargrilled eye fillet w garlic infused potato puree, roasted fieldmushrooms, babyspinach and Cabernet Sauvignon jus
Selection of cheeses w plum paste, lavosh and pear
After the tasting we might have started to feel a bit little tipsy or then there was some angry kissing happening...
What made us all feel very happy was when Kino's coworker Manny won a bottle of port wine!
Suski and a pony
Here's a cute picture of Suski with a fluffy unicorn. It glows in the dark!
The Burger Theory
Adelaide is very well know for its hipster food and we think that burger theory is truly the hipster place to go to! Even Suski thinks that these burgers win McDonald's any day.
Once upon time there was a guy with a theory, he had buns, delicious meats and awesome sauces. He added them together and called it his very own burger theory.
Suski decided to go with a traditional cheeseburger w some lettuce, tomato and truck sauce.
Kino on the other hand picked the burger of the month: Spice-icle! This combination has jalapeno cream cheese, sriracha and iceberg lettuce!
As always the photo does not even begin to tell how extremely fantastic the taste of this burger is... True foodgasm!
All of these photos are from February-July, lots of more are to come, so stay tuned for the adventures of KINUSKI (eng. fudge) !
