Out and about

New year, new clothes

When the year had changed we had an instant need for getting ourselves something new. Lucky for Suski this of course meant a full day of SHOPPING! Here's our little princess carrying her big bag of treats. And what you can see after that is couple of pictures of Kino posing in a let's say a bit 'questionable' way. You go girl! He was born to be a supermodel.

Finding a kangaroo has turned out to be one of our biggest agendas. Just to keep the audience satisfied, Suski wanted you guys to meet her new friend. His name is Fred.

The picnic is served!

After a long week of work, Kino decided to surprise Suski with a Sunday picnic! Before the picnic we took a little walk in a Japanese garden that's right next to our house.

Kino was a bit confused about the whole garden.. Lots of lines in the sand. Oh and a couple of rocks too.

Here's few details of the garden. Everything seemed to be very Fengshui and the garden was well taken care of. Very pleasent for your eyes :)

Then came the picnic time! Kino found us the perfect spot that was not directly in the sun (notice that we had 40 degrees outside, which is melting hot).

Kino had also chosen the best picnic feast! Crackers, cheese, strawberries and cherries, veggies, parma ham and of course WINE!

Here's a happy face enjoying the sunshine :)

A sad day for bookworms.

The search of a library that was open was hard on that day, since city council had decided to close down 2 libraries in the CBD. They are planning to make a Mega-gigantic-uber-super library in Rundle Place but it will not be open until the 7th of February.

After a long search we found a library that was open but....it didnt have a working printer that we needed so desperately. Despite everything we found a cool book to keep you guys warm in the winter.

The Finnish Tourist

During our miserable library search we actually did a little 'celebrity' sightseeing. Over here we have Matthew Flinders, the first person to establish Australia as a continent.

  1. And below we are comparing our hands with Jason Bright, Greg Murphy, Todd and Rick Kelly, who are all world-known Aussie drivers.

This isn't quite a celebrity picture, but man that's some awesome street art!

Hahndorf

To begin the story we have to tell you that the night before this Suski had quit her job and we were out having more than just couple of drinks. So when the morning came and the trip to Hahndorf started Suski was still very drunk.
What made the situation a bit better was a 'healthy' traditional Aussie meat pie for breakfast.

We made a trip to Hahndorf (little German town near Adelaide Hills) with Paul and Amy, so the day was also meant to be a double date. Here's Paul playing with his morning cappucino.

Suski of course found herself a new friend again. This made Kino a little bit jealous, he is after all the true Asian man made for Suski. Never the less, this blond was really into posing with the cute little panda!

The Panda wasn't the only animal figure in the street, there was lots of them!

We stopped by in a local lolli shop, filled with some groovy candy! Kino really had his eyes on Pez, the most awesome old school candy there is. Meanwhile Suski found something called the "Brain Licker".... None of us was brave enough to try.

Here's Paul and Amy and sh** loads of candy! Before leaving the store we still bought some home made Bailey's fudge, which is one of the greatest things ever. Considering that we don't really go for fudge, this one had a huge impact on us.

And once again Suski went a bit nuts... If only that would've been a real ice cream!

And then Kino went a little bit nuts as well.. (Maybe he wasn't yet completely sober either)

In Hahndorf we visited a little market! People were selling lots of interesting stuff, from here you could find almost anything.

The Batman Of Adelaide! Kino found his inner child again. This looked even more funny in real life.

Here's an interesting sign Kino found: "On this site in 1875 nothing happened". Totally worth the picture! We are still very thankful that this information was out there.

After a long tour we had a lunch in a German restaurant "German Arms Hotel". This place is famous for its one meter long hotdogs! And trust me, that's not the only big portion in this restaurant!

Here's still a picture of all of us together. What a happy group!

Auf wiedersehen!

Additional information:

Because of some happenings and mishappenings, bot of us have moved on from one job to another one. Kino moved from kitchen work to a bar and Suski moved from pub to finedining. Ah, the excitement!
